thanks to each of you for your comments, and to answer Diane asking me 'what gear I'm using'. I've updated the info and it can be found on my profile/interests. For most all my bird photographs I'm using the tele-converter lens, a 2012 purchase.
Wonderful pictures! Up here in the United States, cockatoos are in most zoos, which helped make them one of my favorite birds when I was a child. I would love to see one flying free in the wild sometime.
AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Those 'chainsaws of the sky' are waking us up bright and early every morning in summer!!! Not sure whether to love 'em or loathe 'em!!
thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
such plucky ones! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great, if noisy, guests!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of those "were not in Kansas anymore Toto" moments when I saw them in the wide for the first time!
