It was during my September Macquarie Marshes trip at Warren, inland N.S.W., that I saw these birds for the first time. The location is depicted more, this post In search of water, nature's bounty. While photographs in that post were difficult because of light entering the camera in the mid afternoon, to suddenly find these birds way up behind me, with the sun on them, just made my day (again). Always treats in store, if only we just find the time to go look for them.

Well Done! They're hard little blighters to catch sitting still - it's always my luck to see them swooping and gliding. All very nice, but hell to photograph!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and another bird I still want to see! We have lots of White-breasted Woodswallows up this way.
ReplyDeleteAh, the joys of spring and the sun shining on the objects we want to photograph. Heaven, for sure!
