  1. Lucky old you! How wonderful to live so close to such a beautiful location. How many of your neighbours appreciate it?

  2. Firstly Carole, about the flycatcher and thanks for your appreciative comments. It wasn't especially close and is quite heavily cropped but I use a Canon 450 with a Canon 400mm lens which usually allows me to crop an image. The flycatcher was in exceptional light which seemed to capture the detail. I can see such detail in your pictures today, detail through the clear water and in your landscape shots too. Cheers Phil.

  4. thanks for lovely comments, and in answer to you John; I know many do really appreciate the location. It's why we've chosen to live here especially. It really is a joy to have a lovely lake/bays and lots of trees about. I don't take it for granted for a moment....and I love sharing it with everyone here. This was a retirement re-location.

  12. I like how that tree hangs out over the water! Beautiful stony lake bottom. Most of ours are silty or muddy. You could find some really nice rocks and stones in there.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
