What's not to like about yellow?! And lots of it injected into the landscape and horizons as you drive the Golden Highway right now. Such a pick-me-up, such a delight. Rains are predicted inland for this long-weekend; I do hope it isn't untimely or damaging to these crops.
The second one looks like a lake with yellow water.
ReplyDeleteit does make for some gorgeous landscapes. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to like? Well, the smell of it for one thing! It certainly looks stunning though.
ReplyDeleteThat yellow really lights up your landscapes! I like these a lot.
ReplyDeleteThe fields of yellow are really pretty. What kind of crop is it.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is my favorite with the mountains/hills in the background and the fluffy clouds.
It really makes a lovely picture...bet it's amazing in person!

Well I was interested to read your comment John that canola doesn't smell nice! I've never gotten close enough to find that out; just as well it looks as good as it does then!
ReplyDeleteBarb - it's a canola crop (a.k.a rape-seed or mustard); we call it canola, for kitchen-oil-production.
Beautiful landscapes Carole, the yellow is amazing.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!!
Love your photos of the canola crop...a stunningly beautiful view! The first time I saw canola growing was in Canada about 5 years ago. Thanks for sharing a bit of your world with us!
