Fencing in the canola

What's not to like about yellow?! And lots of it injected into the landscape and horizons as you drive the Golden Highway right now. Such a pick-me-up, such a delight.  Rains are predicted inland for this long-weekend; I do hope it isn't untimely or damaging to these crops.

  5. The fields of yellow are really pretty. What kind of crop is it.
The second photo is my favorite with the mountains/hills in the background and the fluffy clouds.

  7. Well I was interested to read your comment John that canola doesn't smell nice! I've never gotten close enough to find that out; just as well it looks as good as it does then!

Barb - it's a canola crop (a.k.a rape-seed or mustard); we call it canola, for kitchen-oil-production.

  9. Love your photos of the canola crop...a stunningly beautiful view! The first time I saw canola growing was in Canada about 5 years ago. Thanks for sharing a bit of your world with us!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
