Some of us will remember the song 'Blue Moon' and tonight, right now, up there, is this blue moon looking down, though it's not really coloured blue.
When a month has two full-moons, the second one is known as the blue moon. This will happen every two to three years according to universetoday.com
Well, blue or not, you captured it beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture of the full moon, thanks for your messages.
ReplyDeleteIn my inbox I saw that you had written something with flowers, but the blog is not there, or is there something in the swallows thanks for that.
I'll follow you.
Greetings Irma
Even last night the moon was spectacular. Did you see it? A few clouds but still we could see that the full moon will be spectacular.
ReplyDeletegreat shot. and, yes, i remember that sad song.
ReplyDeleteI did Diane; yes I agree I thought oh gosh looks like I should be photographing this one. I’m a bit over ‘moon’ photography now, unless one actually turns BLUE for real!
ReplyDeleteIrma, yes I had left comments for both the swallows and one of your flora posts
Thanks for the info Carole...I certainly remember the song, but did not know why it was called a blue moon!
ReplyDeletePaper Hugs,
Jan
Picture perfect indeed Carole! This comes at such an appropriate time. Today is the day of a private service for Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, who died last Saturday in Ohio at age 82.
ReplyDeleteHi there - thats a very nice shot - but as you sort of say in the comments, it hard to take a picture of a fell Moon that does not look like most of the others!!
ReplyDelete(But its still a good shot!)
