Pelican Paradise

Location: The Entrance, Central Coast, N.S.W.

Back in February I'd posted some pelican photos taken along the bridge on this post, and said there were more to come.  Glad you waited around ... :)

View from the bridge; the walk took me from one end to the other.  I ended up where you can see those white sails, on the foreshore to the right of the palm tree

I'd parked at the Pelicans Wharf, Terilbah Reserve, where the 'x' shows at the top right hand of this photo, and took my pics on the opposite side.

There was a good guitarist/singer entertaining to an audience sitting back in chairs on the grassed area under cover; while the little red fun train went back and forth behind where I sat on the edge of the pathway/by the water.

It was kind of surreal, sitting there with a smorgasbord of water-birds to photograph though not to the sounds of water lapping around my feet, but to the up beat of Copperhead Road instead.

plenty of seagulls

I took a trip out west yesterday and managed to capture a lone Pelican on Lake Wivenhoe. I'm using the shots for a water post :)

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
