Elephants

Location: Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo, N.S.W.


the elephants have a heated night barn in the winter months

aaaaaah, that's SO good, should be able to wash off the straw on top now


 endangered Asian elephants, with as few as 34,000 left in the wild according to Taronga Conservation Society Australia

  12. Fantastic to see Carole they are amazing creatures.
    My local zoo at Chester (Chester's getting a lot of free publicity from me this week)has a great record for breeding Indian Elephants.
    I was born in South Africa (only 2 when I was dragged to the UK) so have always had an interest in African wildlife...Cuddles is so cute.
