Crested Pigeon

Location: Mackenzie Reserve, Budgewoi Lake, N.S.W.

When I read up my bird book, it reminds me "Voice: explosive 'whoop'" and that's just what they sound like; I doubt I could've thought to describe it like that.

I knew they had to be pigeons of some type. Looks like these ones have been in the hair gel!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
