Little Wattlebird

Having a great time jumping in and out of the birdbaths in my back garden; it's the (noisy), Little Wattlebird Anthochaera chrysoptera

On an early morning walk, the "golden sunshine" kind of flooded these pics.  This Little Wattlebird was getting breakfast from a Strawberry Tree Arbutus unedo.

  7. WOW Carole!!! These are beautiful. I love how fluffy the baby is and such wonderful close ups of the Wattlebird feeding.
Now I understand why you didn't post the Pelican for WBW (as I suggested in my comment)... these are amazing.

That little guy looks a bit like the starlings we have in the Pacific Northwest (US)..(we spend summers there)

  16. I thought he was a very funny coloured bird, till I realized he was wet. When he is dry, he is much better looking. Maybe he was yelling at you for peeking, when he was in the bath!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
