Also known as an arbor, this delightful structure built by the owner, has a certain charm all of it's own don't you think? Sometimes the jasmine vine growing over it is smothered in sweet-scented white flowers.
I'm sneeking this one into Friday's Fences, just because I can. There is a fence on either side afterall, and a bonus beautiful gate I'd walked through to take this photograph, too.
So beautiful Carole! This is what I miss about my "home"... Growing up in Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula my parents always had a beautiful cottage gardens. The picket fence and arbour is similar to their home now... sigh :)
This is an awesome shot. So beautiful....it reminds me of an English garden. Love the archway and the fencing on either side. This is a great one. genie
Great minds! I'm also showing a vine covered arbor with a bit of fence this week--only in your neighbor New Zealand. The wonderful thing about gate arbors is how they frame the garden view. And this fence is so simple and clean but very decorative.
thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
it is beautiful! no sneaking necessary!
