Eucalyptus Flowering Gum Trees

Marketed for the home garden, this hybridised smaller-growing variety of gum tree is looking so beautiful right now. Growing on a nature-strip, it's sometimes dripping with rainbow-lorikeets after their nectar-hit in the early morning.

and a native bee it perhaps is, hovering to the right ...

Here's another, with a touch of the 'golden sunshine' happening. The lorikeets tend to fly off when you get too venturesome with a camera in hand. See one is still peeking to the right; last to flee/sorry to spoil your brekky-time.

  11. Hi, I just found your blog through flowers on Saturday and I just wanted to say I just love your beautiful gum tree flowers. We tried growing these but the Canberra frost finished them off!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
