This result came about with just a single layer of Phoebe, blending-mode: Difference with 5% transparency.
Merged the layers next, with added changes including Enhanced Lighting (a tool for flash-fill and shadow adjustments).
Then, a slight Contrast adjustment, and finally a Lights effect used.

That is just amazing! I love the photo, but then the top one looks like a painting and I love it too! It's hard for me to wrap my mind around the idea that it is also photography (mixed with graphic arts, I suppose). Whatever it is, I really like it!
ReplyDeleteLove the before and after shots. This is a really great effect. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI never cease to be amazed by the surprising results you can get with one texture and one blending mode. This is really effective
ReplyDeleteThe difference blend mode seems to have an unusual effect on the colors.
ReplyDeleteIt has given your image a painterly look, nicely done.
very cool processing effect; i enjoy difference on occasion, also. For this image it works out amazingly well; looks like you could have painted it. thanks for sharing, Carole - kareninkenai {from TT}
