Featuring here the magnificent Gymea LilyDoryanthes excelsa. Photoshad been taken at a Flora Festival held each Spring at Kariong, Central Coast of N.S.W.
These plants can be found growing naturally in some bushland locations; the flower stems can reach a staggering 6 metres (20 feet) tall!
I'm speechless; a lily of 6 meters. My imagination comes short. The flower arrangement is stunning and oh, so exotic. The green foliage mix so enhances the vibrant red flowers. Lucky you.
thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
So pretty.
