Blinging it on

Used Kim Klassen's Scripted Autumn, also, And Then Some.

Sometimes I'll play around with changing the hue on a texture (see next image),  (using PhotoImpactX3), and when I like the look of that texture-layer after adjusting the transparency, I'll 'merge' it to the original photo and re-save it with a different name.

Then I'll make a new start on the already worked image, to take it beyond that point, and see if I like what happens.

For the above result, after saving the newly merged-layers image, I toggled with both the brightness/contrast, and light enhancement, until I got the degree of colour saturation, or intensity, that I wanted.

The original photograph?  Here it is, commonly known as Johnny-Jump-Ups (or Heartsease).

A nice mix of colours and textures. I do love that little Hearts Ease. It is the epitome of determination the way it can survive anything and everything to bloom the next season.
Not hard to see why it is called a bottlebrush.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
