Australian native: Flannel Flowers

Australian native Flannel flowers, Actinotus helianthii

Location: Munmorah State Conservation Area, Central Coast/NSW National Parks







On the hillside; looking out over the Pacfic Ocean.  Several coal ships can be seen in the distance, as they queue, waiting for entry to port at Newcastle Harbour.

  2. Your photos are gorgeous Carole, do you use a digital software to do stuff with them? Unfortunately Canberra doesn't have too many beautiful places so I can go photograph and play with them and add textures etc to put the photography lol. Will have to go download some free images online to play with

  9. In your first photo I can see the texture of the petals, it does remind me of a soft flannel. They are so beautiful, great photos.
