Kangaroos... this afternoon

Went out to take some new photos today to share here on my blog.  For those of you living in other parts of the world who don't get to see the kangaroo up close and personal, I've got a treat for you.

The location is known for its huge kangaroo population explosion over the years, where it also adjoins a large state recreation area tract of bushland.

oops; I'm feeling a little dizzy...

it's that rotten itch again!

  3. Oh WOW, these photos are so cool. I would love to see these kangaroos in the "wild". The pouch shots are really adorable. I wonder how the little one feels always being bounced around. I would be dizzy. Awesome photos, have a great weekend!

  8. Oh I forgot to mention to you that we do get the odd photo of a Kangaroo in the garden and some beautiful coloured birds as we have some friends that live in St Georges Basin (South of Sydney).

  11. Wonderful capture of all those kangaroos together. The joeys are so cute - they look pretty cramped in the pouches. They're amazing animals.

  12. I've been enjoying all your recent photo posts, Carole. Very beautiful work, as always. These kangaroo photos are amazing. Never imagined even knowing anyone who could see such things, and take them as a matter of course! I've never actually seen a photo of a joey in the pouch - I never even thought about where their feet went. I think I thought they traveled on their own before they got so large! Thanks for the smiles and the education! Looks like a great day for you.

  13. HA!!! I've seen kangaroos in bunches, but not THIS many all together before! They seem very tame too (or you have an excellent lens)! Wonderful photos and very kind of you to share with the world!

What are the cangaroes cute and the baby looks funny in the pocket. Are they always in the pocket this way with their legs out? Can they move around in the pocket?
    Greetings, Jasmina

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
